Even Lazier Days

Just taking a quick moment to say hello. Really quick now that I'm paying for internet. We had a lazy day again, sitting on the beach. I brought my laptop out and did some writing, which felt productive. We're moving hotels (I think) for the next couple of nights, just to get a better deal right next door.

This morning we got up early and had a good breakfast and took some prime spot real estate in the beach chairs out front. I sat under an umbrella for 5 hours and still somehow managed to get a sunburn on my legs. The shitty thing is that it's only the front part of my legs, so that will fade into a strange tan line. Awesome. That's really the only exciting news of the day. It's that relaxed.

Oh yeah, I also had an amazing coconut smoothy today. It was pretty damn fresh.

The vibe of the island is so laid back that I feel absolutely no guilt at spending my days in the most leisurely fashion possible. Reading on the beach, playing in the pool, taking food breaks, drinking coconut smoothies and eating banana roti, walking around exploring the island--it's a great way to spend our days. And the nights? They're perfection. Perfect temperatures, Christmas lights strewn about all over the island, laced up coconut trees and around balconies, sand between your toes as you stroll barefoot down the beach paths. I love it. I love it. I love it.

I may never leave.
